This course will teach you the essential skills and methods to sew a garment or an accessory from scratch.
The skills you'll acquire in this course will be applicable to any of your future sewing projects.

Before the class
I get in touch with you to discuss your project. I'll give you advice on selecting a pattern, and preparing your fabric--if you bring your own.
What is the class about
The class is built around your needs. Here are examples of the things we can cover:
- How to use a pattern
- Follow the grain line of the fabric to place the pattern pieces, and cut the pieces precisely.
- Learn how to set up a sewing machine
- Make precise stitches and topstitches
- Undo a seam and a 3-thread overlock
- Press seams properly
- Techniques to eliminate errors while working through the instructions of the pattern
- Any other technique that is required to make your garment or accessory
Classes are available in my studio or via video conference. The course can also take place at your home under certain conditions.
